At Penn State Greater Allegheny, the Division of Undergraduate Studies (DUS) office oversees advising programs for the campus.
DUS works with students as they assess their interests and abilities before selecting a specific major. DUS also coordinates the New Student Orientation (NSO) program.
DUS also teams with all academic advisers to insure accurate and timely advising services to all students.
Students and advisers are assigned based upon a student's current program of study, and an adviser's area of expertise.
New students meet with an academic adviser during the June or July New Student Orientation (NSO) program and then meet their assigned advisers during Orientation Too!
Students will hear from their academic advisers after early progress reports are available. Students should schedule an appointment with their adviser prior to registering for an upcoming semester, and email advisers when any questions or problems arise.
To find the name and contact information for your adviser, visit LionPATH or contact the DUS Office.
