Information on Commuting by Car or Bus

Parking lot across from the Student Community Center

Many Penn State Greater Allegheny students commute to campus. If commuting by car, there are several student parking areas, free with a Penn State parking tag. Contact University Police or review the information on campus parking.

If commuting by bus, local service near campus is provided by the Port Authority of Allegheny County (PAT), http://www.portauthority.org/, 412-442-2000.

To plan your trip to and from campus by bus, use either the trip planner available on the PAT website, or Google maps.

Commuters should take advantage of all the services, privileges, facilities, and events to which they and all Penn State students are entitled. These include, but are not limited to,

  • Health services
  • Student activities
  • Cultural events
  • Clubs and organizations
  • Fitness and recreation facilities
  • Dining and relaxing in the Student Community Center
  • Library
