Black Student Union at Greater Allegheny supports hurricane relief

Penn State Greater Allegheny’s Black Student Union is collecting items to send to families affected by the recent hurricanes. Specifically, they are collecting water and non-perishable food items. Representatives from the club made their first drop-off of items to the Salvation Army branch in Greentree, Pennsylvania, on Friday, Sept. 22.

New grant makes living on campus easier

In the fall of 2018 Penn State Greater Allegheny will begin offering a new grant and resources for eligible students living on campus. The grant is a result of an initiative by The Pittsburgh Promise, the Preferred College Program.

'Puerto Rico se levanta'

“Puerto Rico se levanta” is the phrase serving as inspiration as the island begins to rebuild, translating to “Puerto Rico rises.” Puerto Rican students at Greater Allegheny campus are spearheading a collection for Hurricane Maria victims in coordination with Brother’s Brother Foundation and the Pittsburgh Metropolitan Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
