Most people who have attended the All That’s Jazz Scholarship Benefit at Penn State Greater Allegheny will tell you that it is a great night filled with beautiful music, delicious food, fun, and fabulous auction prizes. But, it is so much more than that, especially to the students who are helped with the money raised at the event.
Each year, high school guidance counselors help hundreds of seniors consider their post high school options. Guidance counselors from the Greater Allegheny service area came together on the campus for the annual Guidance Counselor Breakfast.
High school juniors and seniors students were invited to attend Penn State Day Fall Open House at Penn State Greater Allegheny. The program offered information to high school students considering admission to Penn State.
While freshman Jonathon Doonan was attending orientation, his mom was off discovering something on her own. The parents who were on campus with their children were invited to take a tour of the McKeesport Heritage Center, in Renziehausen Park, located adjacent to the campus. While there, Michelle made an exciting discovery.
Wondering how to pay for your student’s college? At the Financial Aid workshop on Wednesday, November 9 students and their families can get a head start on planning how they will pay for their college education.
"Visit Us Sunday" will take place at 1 p.m. on Nov. 13 at Penn State Greater Allegheny. Admissions counselors will be on hand to talk to potential students about the application process, majors, student life, and financial aid. The campus will waive the application fee for students who complete their summer or fall 2017 application on site.
Students, faculty and staff at Penn State Greater Allegheny will have the opportunity to learn about and participate in a Greek line dance workshop as part of Teaching International's 2016-17 focus on countries that adjoin the Mediterranean Sea. The workshop is being presented by Susan Goelz, a dance artist, instructor and choreographer, from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. on Nov. 28 in the Ostermayer Room of the Student Community Center.
