Teaching Africa Speaker

Dr. Leopold Munyakazi, Professor of Linguistics, French, Kinyarwanda and Literature from Rwanda will speak on "Civil War and Genocide in Rwanda: 1990-1994" on Tuesday, April 4, 2006 in Frable 117 at 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
 
He served at the National University of Rwanda and the Kigali Institute of Education, as well as other institutions. He was also the Chairman of the Writer's Guild of Rwanda and a member of the Rwandese Association of Human Rights and Public Freedom.  Professor Munyakazi, a Hutu moderate who married a Tutsi woman, will speak about his experiences during the Rwandan genocide.
