    Biography

    Amy Guthrie has taught at Penn State for over 20 years. She grew up in Murrysville, PA, and has always had a passion for French. She earned a BA in French and Peace and Global Studies from Earlham College, and then an MS Ed with certification to teach French from Duquesne University.  She has studied in France and traveled to various francophone regions, and she enjoys incorporating aspects of those experiences into the curriculum.

     

    Since 2006 she has also been a Disability Advocate with Achieva, an organization that provides lifelong supports to people with disabilities and their families.

    French culture, history, and literature

    Developing strategies for increasing foreign language proficiency, travel
