Penn State Greater Allegheny has announced a new partnership with Allegheny Health Network’s Research Institute, providing students with opportunities in clinical research and a chance to earn an internship with the Pittsburgh-based health system.
Penn State Greater Allegheny student Tommi Barnes will soon move to University Park, but not before making a splash in the Pittsburgh Opera’s education unit. Barnes is extending the opera’s outreach around the tri-state area.
Siobhan Brooks, learning center coordinator at Penn State Greater Allegheny, received extensive training in policymaking through a fellowship program offered by The Education Policy and Leadership Center in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
This summer, students, faculty and staff can participate in communications workshops that cover topics such as open access, copyright and fair-use policies. The workshops, offered through Aug. 13, are coordinated by Ana Enriquez, scholarly communications outreach librarian, and will take place via Zoom and in various locations across Penn State's campuses.
