Welcome back students

The past few weeks have been filled with the hustle and bustle of the Penn State Greater Allegheny community getting ready to welcome back students for fall classes. 

The time has come.  Students began arriving on campus this week in anticipation of the first day of classes – Monday, August 21.

Student travels to Africa

Shakeria Carter, a senior majoring in Communications, is spending the next four months in Ghana, West Africa as a full-time student at the University of Ghana.  She will also be teaching at Future Leaders, which aids underprivileged students of Ghana.

Penn State Greater Allegheny in-state resident students will see no increase in tuition for the 2017-18 academic year.

Gearing up for the 14th Annual All That’s Jazz Scholarship Benefit

The 14th annual All That’s Jazz Scholarship benefit has received a grant from the Penn State Bookstores.

Summer is just beginning, but the Penn State Greater Allegheny campus is gearing up for the fall 2017 semester.  The first New Student Orientation (NSO) sessions were held on May 26 and June 7.

You served your country.  Now let Penn State help you achieve your goals.  

Many members and former members of the armed services have earned educational benefits as a result of their service. Eligible students may use their benefits to supplement their financial aid package. Veterans can be certified under several chapters:

The student takeover was a great success!

The Accepted Student program at Penn State Greater Allegheny on Thursday, April 6 was run entirely by students. Current students served as speakers, panelists, and even photographers.  The staff took the night off, and relaxed in their tie-dye t-shirts!

The GA Lions earn their 20th win on the season!

With their latest win, the Greater Allegheny Lions marked themselves in the record book with the first 20-win season in Greater Allegheny history. In the final regular season game of the 2016-17 season, head coach Tyler Care and the men's basketball team took a 75-59 victory over Penn State University Athletic Conference adversary Penn State Beaver, Saturday evening. THON dancers participate in non-stop weekend to benefit kids with cancer

At Penn State Greater Allegheny, Bobby Kemp and his best friend Melissa Loftus traveled to University Park to dance for 46 hours on behalf of their campus. Onward State interviewed Kemp about his experiences. Read the interview here
