In 1948, Penn State established the McKeesport Center to provide educational opportunities to veterans returning from World War II. Over the course of seventy-five years, thanks to the support and generosity of many, the campus has continued to offer a world-class Penn State education in the City of McKeesport. The McKeesport Center played a crucial role in serving the community and has evolved into what is now known as Penn State Greater Allegheny

Through the Digital Fluency Project, students gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge software, applications, and online resources, empowering them to be confident and competent users of technology. The project fosters a dynamic learning environment, where students can explore and engage with digital tools to enhance their academic and professional pursuits.

We are honored to be recognized as an Apple Distinguished School for 2022 - 2025 for our Digital Fluency Project.  Each member of our campus community engages in this innovative and collaborate project.  

This forward-thinking project aligns with Penn State Greater Allegheny's commitment to providing a well-rounded education that prepares students for success in their academic and professional endeavors. With the Digital Fluency Project, our campus continues to lead the way in empowering students to be digitally fluent, digitally responsible, and well-equipped for the challenges of the digital age.
