Penn State Greater Allegheny has a long tradition of engaging undergraduate students in research. Students can participate through their regular classes, through independent study, through a Clinical Research Training Program, and as participants in the campus Honors Program.
Penn State Greater Allegheny’s honor program is designed for high achieving students who want to make the most of their college careers. Students may earn honors credits by enrolling in honors courses, participating in honors options, or engaging in honors independent studies. This flexibility allows students to craft their own unique honors plan.
We are excited to help you begin your Penn State Story this summer with our in-person New Student Orientation. This day long event will combine engagement with our Student Orientation Leaders, Greater Allegheny staff and our Academic Advising Team.
Teaching International is a partner with campus sustainability initiatives and the Honors Program to bring lectures, films, and other activities on globalization and sustainability to the campus, including the Fall and Spring Student Research and Creativity Conferences.
Previously known as Project Game, G.A.M.E functions as a "Hybrid Mentoring" program. In addition to providing mentorship and guidance, we incorporate pedagogical strategies and Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDESAS) learning standards in our sessions, combining this with what we call "Real-life" pedagogy.
