Penn State Greater Allegheny’s signature program received a $25,000 grant from The Pittsburgh Foundation’s organizing principle: 100 Percent Pittsburgh.
On Feb. 21, the Penn State Board of Trustees Committee on Finance, Business and Capital Planning accepted the proposal from Turner Construction Co. of Pittsburgh, as the design build team for renovations to the Ostermayer Laboratory at Penn State Greater Allegheny.
This summer marks the first year for Penn State’s early action as an option for Penn State applicants for summer/fall 2019. Penn State’s applications open Aug. 1.
Regis Becker, alumnus and chief ethics and compliance officer at Penn State, has established an Open Doors Scholarship with wife Barbara. The $30,000 scholarship will be matched 2:1, turning the $30,000 scholarship into a $90,000 scholarship.
Penn State announced $200,000 in new seed grant funding as part of the University's Invent Penn State Initiative. The four campuses receiving grants — Beaver, DuBois, Greater Allegheny and Hazleton — bring to 21 the number of Innovation Hubs across the Commonwealth.
