Welcome to the Career Services Office at Penn State Greater Allegheny. We’ve developed this web page to enhance your understanding of how we can the experiences of students while in college and after graduation.

We provide a variety of programs and services to help students:

  1. develop life-long career planning goals,
  2. explore academic programs in combination with their interests, skills and abilities in order to declare a satisfying major, and
  3. develop the skills necessary to:
    • write effective resumes and cover letters
    • perform a successful job search
    • apply to graduate school

We know that college, major exploration, graduation, and job searching are stressful for students and family members alike. Our staff is prepared to help. We offer numerous services including the following:

  • Mock Interviews

MyPlan

MyPlan is a four-part career assessment that looks at your personality, interests, skills, and values. It is a great tool for both traditional students interested in career/major options and professionals considering a career change. MyPlan will provide a list of occupations that match your results. 

  • Take the career assessments to identify your personal interests, skills, and values  

  • Explore majors and career options  

  • Use MyPlan.com to help figure out what is right for you; follow up with Career Services to discuss your results and further develop your career action plan

Nittany Lion Careers

Use Nittany Lion Careers to view job postings, post your resume in online resume books, find out about on-campus interviewing at several Penn State campuses, and more! You can upload a resume for employers to view. You also have access to hundreds of alumni to connect with via LionLink. To access the system, use your standard Penn State User ID and password. Review the Job Posting/Company Verification Disclaimer.

Lion Link

LionLink is a professional networking program that links Penn State students and alumni with alumni volunteer Career Coaches. Career Coaches provide valuable information and advice on jobs and careers to Career Explorers, who are alumni or students looking for a job or seeking career-related information. Students can access LionLink on the LionLink site
