Health Services

Penn State Greater Allegheny Health Services is dedicated to promoting the physical and mental well-being of all students through health education, preventative strategies, and quality health care. Our team operates with a commitment to confidentiality, respect, and inclusivity, supporting students regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation, cultural or religious backgrounds, and abilities. We advocate for student needs and provide high-quality, cost-effective responses in collaboration with campus resources.

Student Health Center

Located in the Student Community Center, the Student Health Center offers free services to all students registered for the current semester. Faculty and staff are also eligible for emergency care and screenings. To access services, students are encouraged to contact Health Services Coordinator Jennifer Ross or Dr. Monica Malinowski for a free phone consultation. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. For assistance after hours and on weekends, contact the University's Advice Nurse line at 814-865-4847, option 3.

  • Routine health services for minor illnesses and injuries
  • Referrals to campus physicians or external healthcare providers for primary care
  • Health screenings and immunization compliance
  • Mental health counseling services and consultations
  • Physical examinations for athletics
  • Health education and self-care resources

Confidentiality

We uphold strict patient confidentiality and privacy standards. Medical records are released only with written authorization and are provided free of charge to other healthcare providers and institutions as needed.

Health Promotion and Education 

We actively promote health awareness, positive behaviors, and disease prevention through one-on-one counseling and informational resources on topics such as nutrition, substance abuse, and sexual health.
