Tejate is a non-alcoholic maize(corn) and cacao beverage traditionally made in Oaxaca, Mexico, originating from pre-Hispanic times. Students in SUST150N will take a cooking class while in Mexico.

Dias de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is celebrated on Nov. 1 and Oaxaca has one of the largest parades and celebrations for this holiday in all of Mexico. The figures show traditional costumes on dead figures to remember and honor ancestors.
