Six Penn State Commonwealth Campuses recently named faculty members as Open Champions, recognizing their work with open education in the fourth year of Penn State’s Open and Affordable Educational Resources Champion Awards.
At age 75, Diane Banks earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Penn State Greater Allegheny, fulfilling a lifelong goal and serving as student marshal for her program.

Penn State Greater Allegheny students took home three awards and two finalist recognitions Wednesday night in the Press Club of Western Pennsylvania’s 61st Annual Golden Quill Awards, held at the Rivers Casino, North Shore, Pittsburgh.
The John Sr. and Kimlyn Patishnock Undergraduate Research Award: Excellence in Information Literacy is awarded to University Park students who achieved outstanding undergraduate student research at the Undergraduate Research Exhibition.
