Ashley attended a small private high school, so when the time came to begin looking at colleges, "the idea of going to a very large campus seemed daunting," she said. She wanted to attend a school where she could play softball and pursue her goal of becoming an engineer. After learning about the 2+2 program and talking to the softball coach at Penn State Greater Allegheny, she decided to apply.
The 2+2 program gave Ashley everything she was looking for in her college experience. She spent two years at Greater Allegheny, playing softball and working as a resident assistant. Now, she's continuing her studies at Penn State University Park as a Nuclear Engineering major.
