Last week was the annual Banned Books Week.
Greater Allegheny head librarian and American Library Association President Courtney Young had a commentary about this and other issues in Huffington Post.
In addition, Kelly Library has a display of banned books, focusing on this year?s Teaching International theme of gender, but encompassing other topics as well.
Next semester, the English department is offering for the first time a course on banned books (CMLIT 130), taught by Dr. James Jaap.
