Teaching the Balkans speaker to address juvenile justice in Serbia

Djuradj Stakic, Professor of Human Development and Family Studies at Penn State Brandywine, will speak on Monday, October 20, 2014 at noon. His topic, "The Juvenile Justice System in Serbia," is sponsored by the campus Teaching International program and this year's focus on the Balkans. 

Professor Stakic holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and Special Education (1980) and B.S. in Psychology (1971) from University of Belgrade, Serbia. His research interests focuses on positive youth development, positive juvenile justice and social welfare interventions aiming to promote rights and empower children, youth, families and communities around the globe, in particularly in countries in democratic transition of South East Europe, South Central Asia and Arab States.
