Explore creative writing in a hands-on workshop

Interested in creative writing? A hands-on workshop is being offered on Wednesday, December 4 during common period (12 noon) in the Ostermayer Room of the Student Community Center.

Mildred R. Mickle, PhD, associate professor of English, will lead the workshop. Professor Mickle is also coordinating the new creative writing certificate available at the campus. She is also the African and African American Studies Coordinator, and developed a new certificate for Africana Studies. Her research interests are in African American literature, American literature, speculative fiction, poetry, and creative writing. Her latest publications are two books: Gwendolyn Brooks. Critical Insights (2009) and I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings. Critical Insights (2009).

Workshop participants may enter a drawing for a Barnes and Noble gift card.
