Penn State Greater Allegheny will host An Evening of Excellence, a celebration of service and scholarship on Friday, Sept. 9, at the Omni William Penn in downtown Pittsburgh.
As students plan their return to Penn State campuses for the fall 2022 semester, the University continues to provide resources to help individuals stay safe and healthy and prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Penn State University Health Services (UHS) is encouraging students to protect themselves against monkeypox in light of cases in Pennsylvania and nationally. Monkeypox is a viral infection primarily spread through prolonged close contact. It is not a sexually transmitted infection (STI), and anybody can be at risk, regardless of gender or sexual orientation.
Penn State alumnus and Board of Trustees member Brandon Short, center, and his wife Mahreen, right, are honoring their late daughter Karli, left, through the Karli Short Better Tomorrow Foundation. The foundation provides financial assistance through a scholarship for Penn State undergraduates grappling with the fallout of gun violence, and the Shorts are inviting other donors to support the fund.
