In late 2019, Penn State and the University of Auckland launched the Joint Collaboration Development Program, a jointly financed seed-fund program with the aim to foster collaborative research and educational projects. The Office of Global Programs has announced that eight projects have been funded and will officially commence in June.

A delegation from three Pittsburgh-area Penn State campuses — including Beaver, Greater Allegheny and New Kensington — will visit two universities in Europe this summer to foster global partnerships and expand the Experiential Digital Global Engagement, or EDGE, program.

Verónica Montecinos, professor of sociology at Penn State Greater Allegheny, has published a new book titled “Women Presidents and Prime Ministers in Post-Transition Democracies,” which analyzes the cultural, institutional and policy dimensions of the ascent of women to executive power.
