Representatives from the Penn State Greater Allegheny Health Sciences Club and the American Red Cross organized a blood drive with a dual purpose — to show support for a campus colleague and increase donations to help others.
Six Penn State faculty members have received the 2024 George W. Atherton Award for Excellence in Teaching. They are Sommar Chilton, associate teaching professor of communication sciences and disorders in the College of Health and Human Development; Linda Istanbulli, Caroline D. Eckhardt Early Career Professor of Comparative Literature and assistant professor of comparative literature and Arabic in the College of the Liberal Arts; Siu Ling "Pansy" Leung, associate teaching professor of mechanical engineering in the College of Engineering; Kuei-Nuan Lin, associate professor of mathematics at Penn State Greater Allegheny; Sarah Nilson, assistant professor of biology at Penn State Beaver; and Kara Stone, assistant teaching professor of English at Penn State Scranton.

Penn State Greater Allegheny Chancellor and Chief Academic Officer Megan L. Nagel has announced the campus' fall 2023 dean’s list. More than 100 Greater Allegheny students earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher, and are recognized for their academic accomplishments.
Students, faculty and staff across all Penn State campuses will now have free access to virtual technology programming provided by the Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania (TCCP), thanks to a newly expanded partnership with TCCP spearheaded by Penn State Harrisburg, a longtime member of the council.
