Penn State Greater Allegheny is partnering with Community College of Allegheny County and Westmoreland County Community College to offer a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) inclusion and innovation program at our campus. For community college students who are currently working on their associate degree and would like to pursue a STEM career at Penn State, this program may be the right fit for you!
Penn State’s summer program includes a select group of community college students who will engage in activities after the first year of their community college journey to experience life at Penn State Greater Allegheny. Exploration of STEM majors, careers, and academic expectations will be combined with experiential opportunities in the community which could continue for the following summer prior to enrollment at Penn State. The program offers a seamless transition from the community college setting to a four-year STEM program at Penn State University. Students who decide to apply for admission to Penn State receive mentoring and support throughout the process. This program provides students an opportunity to create a pathway for a STEM academic success plan individualized to your selected major at Penn State.
