Biomedical Engineering Technology (BET)

Biomedical Engineering Technology (BET) is a long-standing Penn State program with graduates working in hospitals and healthcare systems across the Pittsburgh region. 

Now offered at Penn State Greater Allegheny, this hands-on, two-year associate degree prepares students to work with the medical equipment used in hospitals and clinics. Students learn how to operate, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair the technology healthcare teams depend on.

Radiological Sciences (Rad Sci)

Radiological Sciences has a strong history at Penn State, with graduates serving patients in hospitals and healthcare facilities throughout the Pittsburgh region.

Now offered at Penn State Greater Allegheny, this 24-month associate degree prepares students to work with advanced imaging technology used in patient care. Students learn how to produce diagnostic-quality images, practice radiation safety, and provide compassionate care while working alongside healthcare teams in clinical settings.
