Penn State Greater Allegheny is one of 20 undergraduate Penn State campuses, offering the first two years of nearly all of the University's 275+ majors. A majority of our students come from Allegheny and Westmoreland Counties, and other parts of the state. Our residence hall helps us attract students from across the country and the world.
Those who remain at Greater Allegheny for all four years chose from one of 10 degree programs. Our students participate in a wide array of clubs and organizations, and benefit from specialized initiatives we have for student travel, undergraduate research, and career readiness, just to name a few.
Penn State Greater Allegheny is recognized as an Apple Distinguished School for its Digital Fluency Project. As part of that project, each student, faculty and staff member receives iPad, giving each member of our campus community access to a vast suite of digital tools which can be used to code, collaborate, solve problems, and communicate in creative ways.
