Student Government Association (SGA)

The Student Government Association (SGA) is the voice of the Penn State Greater Allegheny student population and consists of an executive board (president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer) and representatives from the various clubs and organizations.

The SGA advocates for the student body to enhance student engagement, student life, and student organizations. The SGA sponsors various functions for the Penn State Greater Allegheny student body:

  • Advocates on behalf of commuter and residential students
  • Promotes student welfare
  • Assists other campus student organizations
  • Sponsors events and workshops for the Penn State Greater Allegheny student body
  • Represents the voice of the Penn State Greater Allegheny student body
  • Works with the McKeesport community to provide outreach and engagement on behalf of the Penn State Greater Allegheny Student Body

Penn State Greater Allegheny

Located on 52-acres, Penn State Greater Allegheny is a residential campus offering 2 year and 4 year degree programs, including the Bachelor in Social Work program, starting in Summer 2022.  Students benefit from small class sizes, numerous on-campus job opportunities, and a Digital Fluency Project which places an iPad in the hands of each student.
