Celebration Season

Penn State Greater Allegheny has been in full celebration mode throughout the month of April as the campus honored students and several faculty and staff members for their outstanding contributions and achievements. From Honors Convocation to the BeGreater and EPIC Awards Ceremony, to recognizing spring semester 2024 Rising Scholars, the campus came together to celebrate student success and academic excellence in various forms

Honors Convocation

Students and guests explored the innovative displays at our Undergraduate Student Research and Creativity Conference poster exhibit, after which we honored 77 students and several faculty and staff for achieving excellence in their work.

BeGreater and EPIC Award Ceremony

Co-hosted by Penn State Greater Allegheny’s Division of Student AffairsThe John H. Gruskin Learning Center, and the Center for Academic and Career Excellence or ACE Program, this event recognizes first-generation college students, students of color, and student leaders who made significant contributions to our campus community.

Rising Scholar

Launched in August 2022 by Chancellor and Chief Academic Officer Dr. Megan L. Nagel, the Rising Scholar program recognizes students who display a commitment to their academics throughout each semester.
