Individual Resources

Allain Daigle is the Instructional Designer supporting the excellence of faculty teaching and learning at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus and Penn State Greater Allegheny. In addition to providing course consultations, Allain will be creating an ongoing schedule of educational content based around contemporary topics in teaching and learning as well as the local interests.

Course Consultation Appointments

Allain will meet with faculty and instructors on request for a consultation about teaching and/or individual course design. In these meetings, we'll talk about your goals and I'll offer support informed by research and best practices in teaching and learning.

My goal is never to tell you how to teach. I'm here to offer you a wide range of tools and strategies so I can help you meet your own teaching and learning goals.

Course Refresh

Looking to refresh a course for next semester? We can talk through strategies for making adjustments as you reflect on how to make changes for the future.

Video and Media Creation Planning

Are you looking to use more video in your courses? Perhaps you want to spend some time developing thoughtful mini-lectures, or maybe you're thinking about developing a video creation assignment. We can discuss the best way to use video in your courses and determine the tools you'll need to accomplish these goals.

Inter-Domain Course Design

If you're looking to design an inter-domain course, get in touch! I can help with thinking through course learning objectives, finding a productive collaborator, and developing a course design plan.

Course Assessments

Are your course assignments aligned with your course learning objectives? Are students demonstrating learning through a range of exercises? Let's discuss your assessment strategies and think through how they meet your program needs, your course learning objectives, and your students' professional goals.

Workshops

I'll be offering a range of workshops and learning sessions (for a calendar of these events, check out the page for Regularly Scheduled Sessions). However, if you're looking for a workshop on a specific topic, please let me know! As your local Instructional Designer, I can arrange to hold special topics workshops with personal attention that you might not be able to find in larger scale trainings.

Drop-In Sessions

For in-time support and help, please feel free to stop by and see me during my drop-in sessions (more information is available on Regularly Scheduled Sessions).
