Regional Chancellor Megan Nagel has spent more than a decade helping guide Penn State Greater Allegheny’s academic and community-focused mission through faculty and leadership roles at the campus.
For Regional Chancellor Megan Nagel, Penn State Greater Allegheny’s work in southwestern Pennsylvania is fundamentally about transforming lives, particularly for students who are often the first in their families to pursue higher education. In the video below, Nagel shares how the campus serves as both a launching point for learners and a trusted local partner helping strengthen the region it calls home.
“More than half of our students are the first in their families to go to college. When you are the first in your family to access those kinds of tools — and at an institution like Penn State — I get chills every time I talk about it because you are transforming lives, you are transforming generations of people.”—Megan Nagel , regional chancellor, Penn State Greater Allegheny, Penn State Fayette and Penn State New Kensington
