The Penn State Greater Allegheny Lost and Found is located in the office of University Police and Public Safety, Frable Building 108. All students, staff, and faculty are encouraged to turn in “found” items to the Lost and Found in order to maintain a central location for persons seeking lost property. A database of items reported missing is kept and cross-checked with items turned in. The identified owners will be notified promptly, and arrangements made to return the property.

Finder's Claims
- You as the finder of an item can claim the item after a certain amount of time. Finder's claims may be honored if the finder provides contact information to the office to which the items are turned in, and completes the Lost and Found Claimant Form indicating they wish to maintain their rights as finders.
- Certain items (e.g. checks, credit cards, drivers' licenses, passports, and other items with personally identifying information) are not subject to finder's claims. Electronic devices must be sanitized before being returned under a finder's claim. University employees may not claim found items.
