The Safe Walk Program is designed to provide walking accompaniment for Penn State students, employees, and visitors who may feel unsafe walking alone on campus at night. Penn State Greater Allegheny's University Police and Public Safety safe walk service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
If at any point you feel as though it is unsafe to walk back to your residence hall room or to your car, you can dial 412-675-9130 or 5-9130 from any campus phone and ask for a safe walk. The Safe Walk program is provided free of charge to ensure the safety of the students, faculty, and staff. Please remember, however, that University Police and Public Safety may also be responding to other calls for service and it may take several minutes.
