Welcome Conference

Penn State Greater Allegheny's Welcome Conference, presented by New Student Orientation (NSO), is the perfect start to your Penn State journey. This essential program is designed to help you navigate academic challenges and connect with resources that will ensure your success as a new student.

During the Welcome Conference, you'll:

  • Meet faculty, staff, and fellow students
  • Discover campus life and prepare for academic and personal success
  • Participate in interactive workshops led by faculty and staff on academic procedures, student responsibilities, electronic resources, and campus support

Before Starting Classes

All incoming undergraduate students are required to submit proof of immunizations before arriving on campus. For detailed information, please visit the immunization web page.

The bookstore offers textbooks for your courses during the first week of August, making it the ideal time to buy without the hassle of large crowds. For convenient purchases, visit psu.bncollege.com.

If you've applied to our Center for Academic and Career Excellence (ACE), consider exploring their textbook loan program.

Complete the parking permit application to park on campus. Permits are free and can be picked up at Housing and Food Services in the Student Community Center.
