The Penn State Greater Allegheny High School Dual Enrollment Program* offers high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to take college courses, earn college credit, and receive a 50 percent tuition reduction.
Students who have completed their junior year or are currently in their senior year are eligible for dual enrollment. Exceptions for current high school juniors to participate in dual enrollment are made on a case-by-case basis.
To be considered for the program, submit the following documents:
- The Penn State Greater Allegheny High School Dual Enrollment Application
- A current, official high school transcript, provided by your school
- A current standardized test score from one of the following: SAT, ACT, PSAT, or Keystone
- A letter of recommendation from your guidance counselor.

Acceptance, Advising, and Registration, Payment
Students will be notified of the decision by US mail.
Once accepted, students will work with an academic adviser to enroll in a maximum of eight credits per semester. Students may only enroll in courses approved for dual enrolled students.
Students who maintain a C (2.0) or better grade in each course scheduled are eligible to continue in the Dual Enrollment Program until high school graduation.
Dual enrollment credits earned under the provisions of the program are valid across Penn State University and may be transferred to any other institution that will accept them.
Students receive a tuition reduction for a maximum of eight credits per semester. Student technology and facility fees will be charged on a per-credit basis. Students enrolled in a school district with grants or other funding may be eligible for additional funds to offset some or all of the remaining cost.
