Penn State Greater Allegheny contributed $27.1 million to the Pennsylvania economy in FY 2017, and supported, directly and indirectly, 414 Pennsylvania jobs. A new study, released Feb. 26 by Penn State, focused on measuring the University’s impact in communities across the Commonwealth.
Penn State Greater Allegheny’s signature program received a $25,000 grant from The Pittsburgh Foundation’s organizing principle: 100 Percent Pittsburgh.
On Feb. 21, the Penn State Board of Trustees Committee on Finance, Business and Capital Planning accepted the proposal from Turner Construction Co. of Pittsburgh, as the design build team for renovations to the Ostermayer Laboratory at Penn State Greater Allegheny.
Penn State Greater Allegheny is offering for the first time a blended associate’s degree in information sciences and technology that local residents can complete both on campus and online. The pilot, blended degree program will be made possible by a grant that was awarded to Penn State through the Heinz Endowments.
