Medical Entrance Compliance
Penn State’s Health Policy requires that you provide documentation of appropriate immunizations.
Vaccination Information: Immunization Requirements
Immunizations offer safe and effective protection from vaccine-preventable diseases. The United States is experiencing re-emergence of these diseases, in part due to factors such as non-immunized and under-immunized persons and global travel. University Health Services of the Pennsylvania State University strongly supports the use of vaccines to protect the health of our individual students and our campus community.
Important Immunization Requirements for All Incoming Students
All incoming Penn State students must provide proof of immunization against measles, mumps, and rubella. In accordance with Pennsylvania state law, students living in on-campus housing must also provide proof of the meningococcal conjugate vaccine (Menveo, Menactra, Menquadfi, MCV4), which protects against infections caused by serogroups A, C, W and Y.
Additionally, the University strongly urges all students to be immunized against COVID-19 (primary series and booster).
To submit: log in to myUHS using your Penn State access credentials, and upload image files of your official immunization records and, if applicable, any positive antibody titer blood test results.
Immunization requirements are applicable to all undergraduate and graduate students at University Park and Commonwealth Campuses excluding World Campus and Great Valley. Immunization records only need to be submitted once. For questions or more information, visit the University Health Services website.

Instructions for Students
Meeting Penn State’s immunization requirement(s) is a three-step process:
-
Obtain an official copy of your immunization record(s) and/or official lab results of positive IgG blood titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella
-
Entering the dates of your MMR vaccines, and if applicable, your meningococcal conjugate vaccine through myUHS Medical Clearances
-
Upload an image or pdf of your immunization record(s) through myUHS Medical Clearances. Immunization records must show that you have had the required MMR (2 doses of measles, 2 doses of mumps & 1 dose of rubella) vaccines on or after your first birthday.
If submitting blood titer test results, the results must be an official lab report and must be a POSITIVE IgG test. Negative or equivocal results do not meet the requirement.
Immunization records must show a meningococcal conjugate vaccine on or after your 16th birthday if you are living in University Housing.
Note: Uploading your records AND entering the vaccine dates need to be completed for Penn State to determine if the immunization requirements have been met. Failure to comply my result in restricting you from registering for your second semester until the requirements have been met.
