Supporting Student Wellness
Food insecurity affects many college students across the country, including some at Penn State Greater Allegheny. When students struggle to access food, it can impact their health, focus, and academic success.
To help address this need, Penn State Greater Allegheny launched the Food Security Initiative in 2018 with support from the Jefferson Regional Foundation and other community partners.
Our goal is simple: help students meet their basic needs so they can focus on learning and succeed in college.
