The Counseling Office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and appointments are usually required. In most cases, the counselor can respond to mental health emergencies during office hours.
For urgent situations—like suicidal thoughts or sexual assault—contact the office immediately, and the counselor will respond as quickly as possible. For crises outside office hours, please see the after-hours support information below:

Penn State's Behavioral Threat Management Team takes your safety and concerns seriously. This form is intended to provide information to the University regarding threats to others and concerning behaviors on the part of students, faculty/staff, and visitors/nonaffiliated individuals.
Penn State CARE Report Form
Self harm or Suicide Concerns? If your concern is related to self harm, suicidal ideation, academic concerns, health and wellness complete the CARE Report Form. Your submitted information will be reviewed by the Student Care & Advocacy Office.
Penn State Office of Sexual Misconduct Reporting and Response
If your concern is related to sexual and interpersonal misconduct, dating violence, domestic violence, stalking, sexual or gender-based harassment, and/or related retaliation, complete the Office of Sexual Misconduct Reporting & Response Incident Report Form. Your submitted information will be reviewed by the Office of Ethics and Compliance.
