MCKEESPORT, Pa. — Members of the Penn State Greater Allegheny community are volunteering at International Village, McKeesport's ethnic festival being held this year Aug. 16-18.

“The Village” is one of the Pittsburgh area’s oldest and largest ethnic festivals, back this year for its 57th annual celebration. Founded in 1960, International Village is a three-day celebration of shared traditions and heritage, including food, music, dancing, traditional clothing and crafts.

Folks from the campus will distribute information about the campus and answer any questions visitors may have. Visitors to the Greater Allegheny booth might even be able to catch the Nittany Lion for a selfie!

During the three-day festival, the Penn State Greater Allegheny Alumni Society will once again offer parking in the campus’ Blue lot with a $5 donation to support student scholarships. The alumni are looking forward to continued success to raise funds during this event.
