The Penn State Greater Allegheny Book Club is a vibrant community of students, faculty, and staff who share a love for reading and exploring the diverse worlds that books offer. We believe in the power of literature to connect, inspire, and broaden our perspectives. Founded on the principles of intellectual curiosity and open-mindedness, our club provides a welcoming space for individuals from all backgrounds to come together.
What We Do
Our club meets monthly during common hour to enjoy lunch and discuss a wide range of books spanning various genres, authors, and themes. From classic literature to contemporary bestsellers, we delve into compelling narratives that challenge us. Each month, we select a new book to read and analyze, fostering lively conversations that deepen our understanding and appreciation of literature. If you wish to participate and do not have a copy of one of our selections, check it out at the J. Clarence Kelly Library!
