This course provides basic and limited advanced emergency care and transportation for critical and emergent patients who access the emergency medical system. This individual will function as part of a comprehensive EMS response team. Under medical oversight the A-EMT will perform interventions with the basic and advanced equipment typically found on an ambulance. The A-EMT is a link from the scene to the emergency health care system.
*Must be 18 years of age or older and a Pennsylvania State Certified Emergency Medical Technician to enroll in this course.

This is a hybrid program: all course work and exams will be completed online, and in-person lab sessions will take place every other Sunday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Zoom orientations: January 6 and 20, 2026 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
- In-person orientation: January 26, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
