The Paramedic Training Program at Penn State Greater Allegheny is a 12-month hybrid program that combines online coursework with in-person lab, clinical, and field experiences. Students learn to provide advanced pre-hospital care, functioning under medical oversight to treat patients in emergency situations.
The program emphasizes student-centered learning, including interactive lectures, assigned readings, quizzes, critical thinking exercises, and a paramedic portfolio lab. Students develop skills across the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains, preparing them to become competent entry-level paramedics.
Eligibility
Must be currently certified as a Pennsylvania EMT or AEMT
Advanced placement is available for certified AEMTs (begin in Module 2)

Financial Assistance is available through CareerLink and Veterans Benefits. Payment plan options may be available. All payments must be current to register for the next module or sit for the national certification exam.
Refund Policy
Down payments for AEMT/Paramedic programs are non-refundable
Full tuition paid prior to class start may be refunded at 50% within the first 12 hours of class
No refunds issued after the first 12 hours of the course
Articulation and Experiential Learning
Transfer Credits: Graduates can transfer up to 47 credits toward a Baccalaureate in Applied Health Studies at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Contact 570-327-4519 for details.
