For any questions, please contact Strategic Communications at [email protected].

News Story or Idea
Tip: The more detail you share, the faster our team can develop and publish your story! Include names, dates, outcomes, and why this story matters to the campus community. Note: The Office of Strategic Communications reserves the right to determine which stories are published or promoted across University news, web, and social media channels. Submitting a request does not guarantee publication.
Write a clear, attention-grabbing headline that summarizes the story in one sentence (e.g., “Penn State Students Launch Sustainability Initiative”).
Provide a detailed description of the event, project, or achievement. Include key facts such as what happened, when and where it occurred, and why it matters. Please avoid one-sentence answers. 350 characters or more is required.
List all individuals, groups, or organizations connected to this story. Include names, titles, class years, majors, and departments if possible.
What's your primary goal for this story?
Explain why this story is significant for Penn State. Does it showcase innovation, achievement, collaboration, or something unique about our campus?
Provide the date, time, and location of the event or activity. If it already occurred, include when it happened. If it’s upcoming, include when and where it will take place.
Additional context
Provide the name of the event, program, or campaign and briefly explain the connection (e.g., “This story idea supports the annual Penn State Homecoming campaign”).
Provide direct quotes from individuals involved in the event (include name and role).
Please attach high-quality photos that help tell your story! Posts with visuals always get more attention, so try to include at least one good photo (horizontal works best). No pics? No worries—but we can’t promise your story will shine quite as bright without them!
