Penn State Greater Allegheny Scholarships

Penn State Greater Allegheny offers exclusive scholarship opportunities to support both new and continuing students. These automatic scholarships do not require a separate application. Eligible students are automatically considered based on academic performance and financial need.

Thanks to the generosity of alumni and donors, our campus maintains scholarship endowments valued at approximately $3 million, helping students achieve their educational goals.

Scholarships for New Students

Incoming students are automatically reviewed for Penn State Greater Allegheny scholarships upon receiving an admission offer and submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must have a minimum 2.5 cumulative high school GPA

  • Must be admitted to Penn State Greater Allegheny

  • Must submit the FAFSA to be considered for financial-based awards

All new student scholarships are renewable for a second year, provided the recipient meets the renewal criteria outlined in the award letter.

Scholarships for Continuing Students

Current students at Penn State Greater Allegheny are also eligible for exclusive campus scholarships. A scholarship committee reviews applications, evaluates academic performance, and selects recipients based on eligibility requirements.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be currently enrolled at Penn State Greater Allegheny

  • Must be in good academic standing

  • Must meet any specific scholarship requirements determined by the selection committee

By maintaining strong academic progress, continuing students have the opportunity to secure additional financial aid and scholarship funding throughout their college journey.
