Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Visit Greater Allegheny campus
- Register for a Campus Visit: Explore our vibrant campus by scheduling a visit or attending an admissions event. Visit our campus visits page to sign up.
- Meet with an Admissions Counselor: If you can't visit campus, meet with an admissions counselor at your high school, college, or a college fair.
Step 2: Obtain Your High School Transcript
- Request an unofficial transcript from your high school guidance office. You'll need this for the Self-reported Transcript and Academic Record System or STARS record section of your Penn State application.
Step 3: Fill Out Your Application
- Complete your Penn State application through MyPennState or the Common App. When prompted for payment, do not enter any credit card information or submit payment.
Step 4: Submit the Fee Waiver Request Form Below
Complete the fee waiver request form below. After submission, we'll process your fee waiver and notify you via email once it's approved. You can then finalize and submit your application.
Please refrain from paying the application fee or entering payment information during the application process. Once payment is made, fee waivers cannot be processed or refunded.
