The Paramedic Training Program at Penn State Greater Allegheny prepares students for advanced pre-hospital emergency care while supporting ongoing professional development within the EMS industry. Students gain the knowledge, technical skills, and confidence needed to serve as competent pre-hospital basic and advanced life support providers.
This hybrid program combines online coursework with in-person lab sessions, preparing graduates to respond to complex medical emergencies in the field. Paramedics trained through this program function under the direction of a physician and are qualified to perform advanced emergency care in pre-hospital and other appropriate settings.

Penn State Fayette is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) issued by the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP) . This is a five (5) year accreditation confirming our program meets or exceeds the national standards in paramedic education.
