Anyone! SECURE is open to all majors, all class years, and all GPAs. If you’re eager to learn, collaborate, and explore research, this program is for you.
What You'll Do
As a SECURE participant, you’ll:
Work with peers to explore interdisciplinary questions in biology, chemistry, and engineering
Learn experimental, analytical, and design techniques
Spend about 3 hours per week in the lab, plus weekly meetings to share progress, troubleshoot, and discuss scientific literature
Apply your research skills to real-world problems
Why Join SECURE
Hands-on research experience can set you apart. Through SECURE, you’ll:
Build skills in hypothesis-driven research and lab techniques
Collaborate in interdisciplinary teams
Gain confidence presenting your findings and communicating science
Access funding opportunities through Schreyer Honors College, Multi-Campus Research Experience for Undergraduates (MC-REU), and the Student Engagement Network
