Cybersecurity is a broad and growing discipline intersecting with every industry. As digital information exchange has become the norm both in industry and between individuals and groups, it is critically important to protect systems, networks, programs, and data from attacks and unauthorized access. As a graduate of Penn State Greater Allegheny’s interdisciplinary Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity Analytics and Operations program, you will enter the workforce prepared to join the rapidly growing cybersecurity industry spanning organizations of almost every size with varied missions.
Our professors teach this program offered by the College of Information Sciences and Technology (IST). They have years of industry experience, academic research, and education using the tools students need to become skilled cybersecurity professionals. As a student in the program, you will develop the ability to recognize, analyze, manage, and eliminate risks related to a wide range of threats. Further, you will learn to anticipate and identify threats, clearly articulate potential impacts on stakeholders, and ensure the safety of digital information.
