High school juniors and seniors students were invited to attend Penn State Day Fall Open House at Penn State Greater Allegheny. The program offered information to high school students considering admission to Penn State.

While students explore campus, a parent makes a discovery of her own

While freshman Jonathon Doonan was attending orientation, his mom was off discovering something on her own. The parents who were on campus with their children were invited to take a tour of the McKeesport Heritage Center, in Renziehausen Park, located adjacent to the campus. While there, Michelle made an exciting discovery.

'Visit Us Sunday' to welcome prospective students to Greater Allegheny campus

"Visit Us Sunday" will take place at 1 p.m. on Nov. 13 at Penn State Greater Allegheny. Admissions counselors will be on hand to talk to potential students about the application process, majors, student life, and financial aid. The campus will waive the application fee for students who complete their summer or fall 2017 application on site.

Teaching International to present dance workshop on Nov. 28 at Greater Allegheny

Students, faculty and staff at Penn State Greater Allegheny will have the opportunity to learn about and participate in a Greek line dance workshop as part of Teaching International's 2016-17 focus on countries that adjoin the Mediterranean Sea. The workshop is being presented by Susan Goelz, a dance artist, instructor and choreographer, from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. on Nov. 28 in the Ostermayer Room of the Student Community Center.

Financial management workshop set for Dec. 8 at Penn State Greater Allegheny

Penn State Greater Allegheny and Dollar Bank are teaming up to offer a financial management workshop for all members of the local community. The workshop will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 8 in the Ostermayer Room in the Student Community Center on the Greater Allegheny campus. Participants will learn about managing accounts and banking basics, creating a savings plan, creating a personal budget, understanding how credit works, and using credit responsibly.

Applications being accepted for Noyce Scholarship

Applications for the Penn State Secondary Mathematics Noyce Scholarship Program must be submitted by Jan. 18, 2017. The competitive renewable scholarships will provide $19,000 per year for eligible students’ last two years of college.
